Do I need to collect luggage and check in again

Im flying from uk to sydney via beijing airport 11 hour layover the ticket I bought in one go with airchina,do I need to collect my luggage when I arrive at beijing and check in again? ,or can I just head to imagration,secuirty then departures,I dont wanna risk any mishaps so want to head to departures and wait it out there,as im super nervous!
