About:Visa on Arrival

Do I need to be in Lo Wu / Huanggang before 5pm

I have read some conflicting information online. I am planning to travel to Shenzhen after work and will only get to either Huanggang or Lo Wu port around 6pm.

Will it still be possible to apply for a 5 day VoA at that time. It says above the VOA office will be open late - but I do not want to get there and discover it closed at 4:30.

Tim, you did not mention your citizenship and that is essential to determin your eligibility. If your citizenship is eligible you can arrive at the border crossing after your work is over without any problem.

I travel with a UK passport - so believe I am eligible for VoA. My concern was that the office to actually get the VoA would be closed at 4:30/5pm.

You are eligible for Shenzhen 5 days VOA withou any doubt. Also, opening hours of Luohu border crossing visa office are much later or to be precise until 23:30. The price is 130 CNY, bank card payment.
