24 hour transit visa in PEK, is it required?!

Hi, I will be traveling from Tokyo, Japan to Pyongyang, DPRK on a touristic trip. However, I will meet my tour group in the capital airport however I am a bit concerned as I will have to leave the transit area to pick up my bags for the next flight.

The flight reservation from Japan to China is done on my own and the flights from China to DPRK is done by the tour company so the airport won't have any idea it is a connecting flight.

Do I really need a 24-hour transit visa just to pick my bags? or Can I just show the immigration officers my printed flight tickets to DPRK so they would realize it is a connecting flight and let me go pick my bags?

Advise is highly appreciated

As I know, no transit visa is needed. Anyway, to make sure, you are suggested to contact the airlines.
