Is it mandatory to have a Bank account if you are a student who has a type B scholarship?

Subject: Inquiry Regarding Student Visa Requirements After Receiving JW202 and Admission Letter
Dear Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Jeddah,
My name is IBRAHIM AHMED YAHYA ABDO QASSEM, a Yemeni national. I have been awarded a partial scholarship (Type B) to study at Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance, starting in September 2025. I have already received both my JW202 form and official admission letter.
I would like to kindly ask for clarification on the following:

What are the next steps I should follow to apply for the student visa (Type X)?

Is it required to submit a bank statement? If yes, how much minimum balance should be shown in the bank account?

Are there any other specific documents required in my case?

Attached are my JW202 form and admission letter for reference. I would greatly appreciate your guidance regarding the complete visa application process, required documents, and whether a financial proof is mandatory.
Thank you very much for your assistance. I look forward to your response.
Kind regards,
IBRAHIM AHMED YAHYA ABDO QASSEM
Yemeni national

Requirements and documents: your passport, application form, recent photo, admission letter, and JW202 Form. For all I know, a bank account is not necessary for visa application.

With all documents prepared, you need to submit your application to the embassy or consulates in person.
