Transport from Chengdu airport after midnight

Hi, my friend and I will arrive at Shuangliu Airport around 1am (May 2nd). What's the best way to get to downtown area? If we catch a taxi, do we need to book one before ahead of time?

Well, you can take the airport express line 1 from the airport to reach downtown area directly. The bus operates until the flights end. By taxi, no need to book one in avance. Taxis are in service for 24h and it is generally easy to catch one at the airport.
