About:Beijing Capital Airport T1

I have a flight from Washington DC to Bangkok with a one hour layover in Beijing to change planes.

Because this is international to international and I wont have to collect bags or go through customs will this be enough time to make the connecting flight if all runs on time? This would be landing on a Friday in January.

As you said, if your two flights are connecting ones and operated by the same airline, you don't need to collect bags or go through customs. Your time will be enough, but it is still suggested to hurry up when making the transfering.
