Transit Visa in Shanghai Hongqiao airport

Hello I am Canadian. I have a connecting flight from Pudong airport after arriving at Hongqiao airport. I was wondering if I need a transit visa to get to the other airport. Do I need to checkout baggage? Is it a convenient to change airports? I have 12 hrs. Appreciate a reply.

If you hold connecting flight boarding pass, no need to check out and recheck in your luggage. If not, you may have to. Anyway, to confirm this, I suggest you consult your airlines beforehand.

As for transit, no visa is needed. You can confirm your transit with your airlines in advance and you will be granted with a stay permit upon arrival, with which you will easily transit in the two airports. And transit time will be suffient. Don't worry!
