About:Best Time to Visit the Forbidden City

Do i need to book a tour guide to visit the forbidden city to explain everything in english?

or i can find people who speak english and can explain what's happening from the city it self.

i want a history explanition of it

What I know about the attraction is that it is also know as "the gate of heavenly piece". It was built from the years of 1406 to 1420. Ever since it was built it was home to numerous emperors at a time but now it is a historical figure located at the center of Beijing. Although it would be a good idea to book a tour guide i would also recommend asking people to explain the city. But only people from within the city itself. The more people you ask the closer the results will lead you to your #1 answer. :).
