About:China Visa on Arrival

What is the nearest border crossing from Macau to the Chimelong theme parks.

Also, can I get a SEZ VOA at the border? I am an American.

The nearest one is Hengqin Port, about 5km and you can apply for the VOA there as American.

The closest and the most convenient border crossing is Hengqin. You can obtain a Zhuhai VOA at that border crossing for a price of 130 CNY (majority of bank cards, debit and credit are accepted as a method of payment). You do not have to do anything before your arrival at the border crossing. All the formalities are done there. When you clear all the formalities you can take a taxi or walk through a passageway and take the first available train from Hengqin train station to Zhuhai Changlong train station. There are roughly 35 daily departures on this route. You do not need to buy any ticket for this train ride because it functions almost like an urban train line. A train ride takes about 6 minutes. The border crossing is located west from Cotai area in the southern part of Macau and you can reach it by taxi or by LRT or by many free bus shuttles operated by several high end hotels in Macau. Have a nice visit to Zhuhai.
