fly from shenzen to third country using VOA 5 days

Hello,

I am a Canadian passport holder. Am I allowed to take a flight from Shenzhen Airport to Seoul using the 5-day VOA (Visa on Arrival)? My planned route is: Canada → Hong Kong → Macao → Shenzhen → Seoul (third country).

Am I allowed to leave Shenzen by taking an international flight from there?

Michael, of course you are. Your itinerary is definitely eligible for the option you plan to take. There is one detail I would like to emphasize/suggest/recommend based on your planned itinerary. I would not suggest you to relay on Shenzhen VOA, but on 240 hour visa free transit in case if your stay in Shenzhen will be longer than 24 hours. As you can see, Macau - Shenzhen (mainland China) - South Korea is an eligible route for 240 hour visa free transit if you plan to take a ferry from Macau to Shekou port in Shenzhen and if you plan to stay longer than 24 hours in Shenzhen. With this option you bypass a cost of a visa and also you have a right to explore the area farther than Shenzhen. 240 hour visa free transit allows you to visit more areas compared to Shenzhen VOA that limits you to Shenzhen city limits only. So, now it will be up to you to decide and it is important that you have two different option to choose from. I wish you a wonderful journey.
