Yes, your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. From Hong Kong to Macau you can take a bus or a ferry. Whatever you like more and whatever you find that is more suitable for your overall logistics needs. From Macau to Shenzhen you will have to take a ferry from Macau to Shekou port in Shenzhen because this is the only eligible option for entry into mainland China from Macau (beside flying) when you travel on 240 hour visa free transit. The line is operated by Turbojet ferries that operate the line 4 times daily (5 times daily on weekends). You have to have in mind the fact that you will need to buy your train ticket from Shenzhen or some other mainland Chinese city to Hong Kong Kowloon train station even before you depart from Macau to Shenzhen because this is your proof of transit and you will be asked to present one in both Macau at the time of your ferry boarding and in Shekou (Shenzhen) when you arrive there. After your stay in Shenzhen or some other areas of mainland China you will take exactly that train you have bought your train ticket for. It is highly advisable to print out your train ticket booking confirmation and have that confirmation with you at hand. Much better to present it as a printout than in electronic form. You have to be aware that when traveling on 240 hour visa free transit you are not limited to Shenzhen only, but you can also visit many other mainland Chinese areas if you wish. It is very, but really very important detail that you use correct terminology because this is not a transit visa, but 240 hour visa free transit, so there is no visa of any kind at all. Have a wonderful journey.
