About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Clarification on Two Entries Question

This is a clarification on my previous question--may I get two separate 240 hour visa free transits? One for each leg of the following trip?

First Leg, First 240 hour visa free transit -- Washington DC --> Beijing (3 Days) --> Irkutsk, Russia (10 days)
Second Leg, Second 240 hour visa free transit -- Irkutsk, Russia --> Beijing (Overnight hotel) --> Washington DC

Yes, your entire itinerary definitely qualifies for 240 hour visa free transit - twice. There is no doubt about it. It is definitely allowed to enjoy 240 hour visa free transit twice within a short time frame. As far as your second leg (entry) is concerned it is possible that it will be treated as 24 hour visa free transit and not as 240 hour visa free transit if total transit time, calculated from your scheduled arrival time until your scheduled departure time, is shorter than 24 hours.
