PEK Luggage check through

I will fly from Budapest to PEK and from there to Lijiang (transfer time 2h 20min.) Both flights are with Air China but I bought the 2 flight tickets separately (from 2 different agents). Can I ask Air China -when boarding in Budapest -to check my luggage through to Lijiang (without picking up at PEK) ?
