Transit Through ShangHai

Hi, I am departing from Rome to Tokyo with a 2h30 stop in Shanghai. The first company is China Eastern, and the second one I'll be leaving with is Shanghai Airlines, but I bought the two tickets at the same time. Will I need to reclaim my luggage and check it in again or will it go directly to Tokyo? Thank you!
