About:How to Travel from Hong Kong Airport to Shenzhen

Flying from Shenzhen, via Hong Kong

I would like to buy a flight ticket from Shenzhen to Tokyo. I am from the UK.
I will fly to Hong Kong first and stay there for 7 days. After which I would like to fly to Tokyo from Shenzhen instead of HKIA as tickets are cheaper. What kind of border control is there when travelling with the airport bus from Hong Kong to Shenzhen airport? And will I need a VISA if I just fly the same day as I get my bus to Shenzhen airport.

Does this make sense?

Are you a Dutch passport holder? If yes, you are visa-free to enter China for at most 15 days so don't need to worry visa problem.

Hi George

Thanks for your reply.
So I can just get a bus at from Hong Kong to Shenzen Airport. And take my flight from there same as Hong Kong?

Im just unclear what the border process is if I want to just go directly to Shenzhen airport from Hong Kong?

The bus from HK to Shenzhen will stop at the border, where all passengers need to get off to finish the entry procedures and then reboard the bus on the other side of ther border. For you, just show your Dutch passport to get the entry permit. The thing is you should not have any overstay or other bad records on your passport.

Hi George

Thanks for the info. That sounds very simple then. Sounds like getting to Shenzhen airport will not be a big hassle at all then.
