About:Visa on Arrival

Train from Shenzhen to Shanghai entering at HK Airport

Hello
family of 4 going to Hong Kong from US, can we enter from HK to Shenzhen North to catch the train to Shanghai using the 144 hour visa? we will then fly out of Shanghai to go to Japan.
