About:Nanning - Hanoi Trains: T8701/ T8702

Entering China without return ticket

I have bought train tickets from Gia Lam (Ha Noi, Vietnam) to Nanning online. I am told that i can only buy tickets from Nanning to Gia Lam (Ha Noi, Vietnam) in Nanning and in person.
I am travelling with Australian passport and I plan to visit Nanning for 6-7 days.
Would I be refused entry at the border with China because i don't have return ticket back to Vietnam yet.

It's right that you need to buy it at Nanning Railway Station on-site in person. You can enter through the railway port without the ticket back to Vietnam and are allowed to stay in China for 30 days, so don't worry.
