About:10-Year China Visa for UK Citizens

I had a 3 year visa

Dear Sir or Madam,
I had a 3-year visa for China which expired I am a British National living in Saudi Arabia and I wish to travel to China to see my Chinese Wife. Is it possible for me to apply for a 5-year visa to China I intended to visit several times with the intention of retiring to China end of this year.
