About:8 Tips for Filling Out Chinese Visa Application Form

3 month trip planned; impossible to know full accommodation

Hello
If I plan to travel for up to 3 months in China, what is the best way to complete requirements around accommodation? It seems unreasonable to be expected to know where someone is staying every night for up to 3 months.
Thank you

Actually you don't need to worry about it because the hotels you stay will always help you with the registeration.

Thank you, however if I’m only sure about where I am staying for the first few nights, how do I complete the visa application?

Then you can just give the detailed information about your first two destinations in China, not all the hotels for the whole trip. It's OK to do so. BTW, I have to say that it's not common to get a tourist visa with such a long duration of stay of each entry, especially when you apply the first time.

Hi and thanks for your quick follow up response. However I am surprised to hear that getting a 3 month tourist visa can be a problem. Everywhere I’ve looked online suggests that it is feasible. Why do you say that it is unlikely to be approved? Thanks!

Many get 30/60 days for each entry as a first timer but the final decision is made by the consular officer based on your documents. If you fail to get 90 days, then you can leave mainland China and re-enter to activate a 30-day visa free entry, given that british people are granted 30-day free entry to China.
