About:China Visa

US passport holder travel from HK to China for 3 days and return to HK and then to US, need a visa?

Am US citizen for 40+ years originally from HK (born in China). Never had HK SAR passport. Had an hui xiang ka which expired in 2011. Would there be any problem if I am eligible for no visa required visit?

You need a visa to Chinese mainland with your US passport. You can apply for a China visa at Hong Kong visa center. Or you can travel to nearby Macau first after visiting China, then head to HK then to US to fit in the 240h visa free transit and remember to purchase the ticket to Macau in advance to apply for the free transit.
