can i receive humanitarian visa for more than one month?

Currently, I am working at university and my contract (and residence permit) is until June-20. I am waiting for one of my papers to come out and the university is not giving me the resignation letter before. If they provide it to me in the last days of my residence permit, how long can I ask for the humanitarian visa? What should I do if the new visa process takes more than three weeks?

Regularly, you need to renew your visa at least 7 days before expiration and it also takes 7 days to process it. If you make the submission within the time frame, it won't be your problem even if you overstay the old one.
