humantarian t visa can change in student visa

Hello,I am student of chinese language. My student visa was expired in July 2020. After that my college gave me Humantarian T visa. Now i get admission in Master program. Can i change my Humantarian T visa to student visa. Some person says that i need to go back home country after that university issue me student visa. Based on Humantarian visa i unable to get student visa. Please guide me about this. Thanks in advance.

I personally think you can convert your humanitarian visa to a student visa without leaving China. As you know, due to the current virus situation, you may not be able to return to China if you leave.
