Land Crossing at Vietnam (no return ticket for Visa application)

Hello,

I saw that you need a round-trip ticket for the tourist visa. What if I'm planning on flying to Beijing, but then crossing into Vietnam at the border by land. Therefore, I won't have a return plane ticket. What should I do?
