About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Australia - GuangZhou - Taiwan - GuangZhou

Hi

Australia - GuangZhou (5 days visa free entry) - Taiwan - GuangZhou (Using Chinese visa for entry)

Would this plan valid for using the 144 hours visa free entry?

I am not able to find official information, are you able to share links to 144 hour visa waiver information from official site?

Thanks.

Your itinerary, if you have mentioned all your stops, is perfectly eligible for 144 hour visa free transit in entire Guangdong province during your first stop in Guangzhou. During your second arrival, you will use your visa, so after that, you can travel literally throughout the entire China.

here one very important detail. You have to be very focused during your first arrival in Guangzhou so that you do not lose your single entry visa. You have to approach first 144 hour visa free transit counter and not the immigration. You will present your ticket at 144 hour visa free transit counter and also fill out the blue form. After that you will get a sticker in your passport and be allowed to exit the airport. So, it is important to shortly explain to the authorities that you will travel on 144 hour visa free transit during your first arrival and this is perfectly allowed. Just be focused, so that your single entry visa is not collected upon arrival!

As far as official source for this visa free details is concerned, you are advised to check Timatic where everything we are writing here is also written. For example, some of the airlines have kindly offered to the visitors of their website to make an insight in Timatic. One of such airlines is Air New Zealand, so you are advised to check all the mentioned there.
