About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Is it need visa for transit at Xiamen around 10 hours

Hello, My brother will flight from Los Angeles to Jakarta, Indonesia by Xiamen Airline. He will transit at Xiamen around 10 hours, then should he apply visa or not, thank you.

This itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and your brother doesn't need any kind of visa.

He will print out his flight tickets and have those printouts with himself. Also, he will declare in Los Angeles that he will travel to Jakarta via Xiamen using 24 hour visa free transit. After a short inspection of his tickets, he will be allowed to board the plane. I assume that his luggage will be tagged all the way to Jakarta, but I advise that he asks just for a case.

Upon his arrival in Xiamen, he can apply for a temporary entry permit at 24 hour visa free transit counter to be allowed to exit the airport and explore the city, but he can also remain within the transit zone of the airport.
