About:China Transit Visa

Border crossing/transit visa.

Hi, we are planning to take the train from Hong Kong to Nanning and then onwards to Hanoi, but we are not sure if it's possible with a transit visa? I understand that these are usually issued at airports so not sure how it would work doing the border crossing by land / by train. Any ideas?

You need a tourist (L) visa. There are generally no transit visas (or any other type of visas) issued at most airports. You're not eligible for transit without visa.
