About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Exact counting to qualify for the 144 hr visa for US citizens

I arrive in Beijing on Sept 7 at 5:15am. I depart on Sept 13 at 6:45 am. I am a US citizen. Can I use the 144 hr Visa? It looks like I should be OK. Just confirming with you.

Its not a visa but a transit without visa, which allows you to stay for 144 hours without a visa while in transit to a third country. If you are flying USA > Beijing > USA you would not be eligible. if you continue to a third country before returning to the US then you are eligible.
