Humanitarian Visa Extension

I'm currently finishing a work contract in Shanghai on a residence permit, after which I will be issued a Humanitarian Visa. Because of timing of certain events I booked a flight for August the 8th to fly back to the USA. Well my first H-Visa will expire on July 28th and I wanted to get an extension. Is it feasible for me to get an extension to stay until my flight as I already have it booked? Or will I need to leave and get a tourist visa to return just for my flight?

Chad, Humanitarian Visa basically does not be allowed extending, but it may be possible if you bring your flight booking to ask for extension at local PSB. Have a try!
