humanitarian visa enquiry

i have a valid X1 visa till september i plan to leave in august my school wants me to get a humanitarian visa why is it necessary and what happens if i don’t ?

Humanitarian visa normally means that you can switch your X1 to tourist L type till September so that you can have time for China tour after finishing your study. If you don't need that, you can not apply.
