Already have single entry visa but suddenly need to go to Thailand

I have already got an single entry visa and in China already for a week now. But needs to go to Thailand for a few days suddenly. My return ticket is from Chengdu-Auckland, do you think I can go to Thailand before flying out of Chengdu, and use the free transit 144 hours visa as the current single entry visa won’t be valid any more once exit to Thailand. Thank you very very much!

Of course you can do that. Everything you should do are the followings steps:

- Just buy a ticket for Thailand and fly there. Nobody in China will really ask anything because they simply don't care when somebody is exiting the country currently covered by valid visa that expires at the very moment of your exit from the country.
- As I can see, you perfectly understand that you are qualified for 144 hours visa free transit in Chengdu, so you will decide how much time will you spend in Chengdu before your flight to Auckland and you will buy your ticket from Thailand to Chengdu accordingly.
- Your ticket from Thailand to Chengdu should not have any additional landing within mainland China!

In case that you can comply with the above details, you can definitely enjoy your 144 hours visa free transit.
