About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

And what if Philippine airlines suddenly changes my flight so my stay in Shanghai ends up more 72 hours?

Hello
I'm from Denmark, and I'm going to the Philippines in January. On my way I'm going to make a short stop in Shanghai, for 69 hours. So I should be able to do it without a visa. But does any of you know how I get this transit permit? I'm flying with Cathay pacific from Denmark to Shanghai, but from Shanghai to Cebu with Philippine airlines.

Hi, if your stopover is now more than 72 hours, you need to apply for a Chinese transit G in advance in Denmark. There is no exception on this.

Its not more than 72 hours, it's only 69. But how do I get a transit permit? I'm flying with two different airline companies. Cathay pacific from Denmark to Shanghai and Philippine airlines from Shanghai to Manila.

Just inform the carrier airline-Cathay pacific for this free transit when you chek in at the airport. The free permit is issued upon arrival with your passport, ticket leaving within 72 hours to a third country.
