About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Chengdu

UK - chengdu - Taiwan - Shanghai - UK

would this be allowed:

flight UK - CD (laying over in Netherlands)
flight CD - Taiwan (laying over in hong kong) --> in this case does HK or TW count as the third country?

flight taiwan - shanghai
flight shanghai - uk

There is no problem. Both HK and TW are regarded as the third country in the policy.
