About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Xiamen

JAPAN > XIAMEN > JAPAN

Hi

UK citizen living in Japan, planning to go to a factory in Xiamen to check out some goods my company is ordering. Only plan to be there a maximum of 3 days. Am i eligible for the 144 hour free visa if I am just returning to the country I originally came from or is it essential that the 3rd country is different from the first?

It's so obvious on this page where it says "What Is an Eligible Route?" that your route is not eligible.

If its not to a third country, its not a transit and visa will be required. You need to travel to a third country before returning to Japan
