Hong Kong-Guangzhou-Taiwan

We are planning on holidaying/flying as follows: UK to Hong Kong direct , then Hong Kong-Guangzhou-Taiwan, then return back to Hong Kong and then direct to UK.
Is the 72hr visa in Guangzhou permitted given flying in from one S.A.R, (special administrative region) and out to another S.A.R? Thank you.
