About:144-hour Visa-free Transit in Shanghai, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu

I am planning to travel from Hong Kong to Shanghai, then fly to Tokyo.

Having seen Shanghai Railway Station listed as an eligible port of entry, I'd like to ask it's possible to take a train from Hong Kong to SH while still being eligible for visa-free entry. If so, is it possible to book the train online?

Thank you

Yes, it is possible. There is one high speed train operated daily from HK to Shanghai: G100 departing at
11:10 and arriving at 19:27 with duration of about 8.5 hours. The ticket fare for a second class seat is about 1,008. The schedule is just for reference and you can search the latest online. By the way, you can book the ticket on this website.
