Arriving at PEK from Canada on Air China Flight. In transit to Phuket Thailand on Thai Airways

Do I have to collect my checked bag at PEK ?

Karen, it is an international to international transfer at PEK. Generally speaking, you don't need to recollect your luggage. But you are advised to consult the airlines and ask about whether they have luggage check through service.
