About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canada to Zhangjiajie

Travelling from Canada then Stop over at Pudong,Shanghai to Zhangjiajie staying 4D3N stop over . Upon returning , I like to take a train to Chongqing stay for 2N3day then proceed to Guangzhou by train for a couple of days exit to Hongkong via train then flight back to Canada at night. 2 questions: Am I qualify for 240 hours visa free? If so, should I apply at Pudong Shanghai during my stop over or at Zhangjiajie customs?

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. You should just take care to buy your train ticket (exit from mainland China) to Hong Kong before your departure from Canada because you will be asked to present it at the time of your check-in in Canada and upon your landing in Shanghai (Pudong airport). You will perform your entry formalities, 240 hour visa free transit included at Pudong airport since it will be your first point of entry into mainland China. Have a nice visit to China.
