114-Hour Visa Exemption Flying Standby

Is the 144-Hour Visa Exemption available when arriving in Shanghai on Princess Cruise ship and departing on the same day after a cruise-sponsored excursion with a US passport and a space-available standby reservation on United Airlines PVG-LAX (employee travel, no confirmed seat or boarding pass until seats become available prior to flight)?

I think you take the cruise from a third country? If so, yes, it’s available for you! Enjoy your time!
