About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

144hour visa free transit

I saw some sites posted that need to have connecting flight ticket for transit point.

If that is the case, the following travel plan still qualifies for 144hour visa free transit?

SIN-Guangzhou via AIR
SheKou-HongKong via FERRY

I can’t seems to find matching correct info from some government site to verify such details…

Your itinerary is definitely eligible for 144 hour visa free transit. You should just have in mind that you will have to buy your ferry ticket before your departure from Singapore, print it out and have it with you. Also, you will have to take exactly that ferry you have bought your ticket for.

You can also take a ferry from Nansha, south from Guangzhou to reach Hong Kong, if this is the place more convenient for your needs. You can check about the eligibility of certain route by taking a look at Timatic. For example United Airlines offers the use of Timatic for free. As far as you know, Timatic is the ultimate tool the authorities use to prove an eligibility for travel without a visa.

So upon arrival in Guangzhou airport, I just need to proceed to visa free counter to complete the necessary application!

Prior to that, do I need to inform the carrier Singapore Airline in my case for any process?

Generally, you don't. But if you still feel worried, you can confirm it with your airline.

Noticed there are now about 30 exit points
Train - Shenzhen north/Futian bullet train direct to HK not included.
But Dongguang station included but it stops before HK border at Luohu. Seems strange.
Road - SZ exits like SZ bay included - assuming this means buying a bus ticket before boarding initial flight to China. Is that possible online?

It's possible but you may need help from someone who knows Chinese.
