About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I have a passport with a validity of one week short 6 months on date of travel to Beijing

I will have it renewed, but plans to apply for the entry permit before renewal. The reason is, I will be travelling after I get my renewed passport so there is no time to get a China entry permit before my travel to Beijing. Will they accept my application on the old one and say that I have a scheduled renewal already? And if ever I'm granted a visa on old passport, will that be valid to present along with new one?

Hi, as I know, if your current passport has a remaining validity of less than 6 months when you make the application, your application may not be accepted, so you need a new passport before applying for Chinese visa.
