About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hong Kong >Shanghai > Shenzhen

I plan to travel from HK to stay over 1 night in Shanghai then go to Shenzhen next day.
Am I (Canadian) qualified for visa free transit?
Can Shenzhen be recognized as 3rd region in this case?

Tom, no, this doesn’t qualify for the free transit policy. Shenzhen is a city in China. You need to apply for a tourist L type for that.

There is no visa-free transit in Shenzhen.
