termination of 2 year contract with one year visa

Question

I signed with one of the company in China as a English teacher with a two year contract but holding one year work Z type in my passport,after expiration of one year work Z type, then I also want to terminate my contract with that company  and I apply for a new  work Z type without the help of any company, is that possible?

You can terminate the contract after your work Z type expires, but you may not be able to get a new work Z type without the help of any company unless you start to run your own business in China.
