About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

EU - Shanghai - Hongkong - Taiwan - Shanghai - EU

My schedule will be:
Vienna to Shanghai Pudong (spend 72 hours in Shanghai)
Shanghai Pudong to Hongkong (free transit, as i am Austrian citizen)
Hongkong - Taiwan (visa free, as i am Austrian citizen)
Taiwan - Shanghai (spend 40 hours in Shanghai)
Shanghai - Vienna

If i understood right, Hong Kong counts as third country/region when entering Shanghai for the first time and also Taiwan will count when entering Shanghai the second time. So i would benefit from this free transit regulation. Am i right?

Yes, Stefan, you are right. You can enjoy the free transit program in Shanghai in both ways. Nice trip.
