UK citizen making an enquiry

Hi, I currently hold an x2 type and I wanted to get a business visa. I have been told I have to go to hong Kong or any of the neighboring countries. Can you tell me if this information is right and what do i need to bring with me if I happened to apply for a business entry permit from hong kong

Hi, you can try to convert your current X2 type to a business M type at the exit and entry administration of the local PSB within China. If it can be done, you don't need to go to HK for that. You should prepare your passport, valid registration form of temporary residence, the application form, a passport-style photo, and an invitation letter from your business partner, as well as the return ticket.
