About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240 hour visa free transit criteria

Planning a China tour Sept 2026 within 240 hour visa free limits, arriving Beijing then using internal train and internal flights and leaving via train to Hong Kong then flying UK from there.
UK travel agents say I can't use this visa if using internal flights only ground travel is that correct if so would need 30 day visa.

Your travel agent is definitely wrong. You are allowed to travel within mainland China, across provincial borders under 240 hour visa free transit. Your agent is stuck in the times of defunct and non valid 144 hour visa free transit that was quite restrictive. For all other details regarding your planned journey I invite you to read my answer to your compatriot Lee in the post velike this one that has quite a similar situation. Have a nice journey.
