About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

240-hour visa free transit to Shanghai

I'll travel from UK to Shanghai via 240-hour visa free transit, and then to HK.

While I stay in Shanghai, can I travel to Hangzhou or Suzhou which are in different provinces?
Can I arrange accommodation in Shanghai for 3 days and Hangzhou for 3 days?

Yes, of course you can. It is definitely allowed to travel within China under 240 hour visa free transit. Two details more. Your flight from UK to Shanghai is not allowed to have any kind of landing in Hong Kong. Also, you will have to have your train or flight ticket to Hong Kong (exit from mainland China) already bought in advance, even before your departure from UK to China. Have a nice journey.
