About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

22 hours layover at shanghai (Pudong) airport.

Hi, I am Indian passport holder, residing in south korea for last 1.5 yrs. Wil be traveling to India (Delhi) from south korea with a layover for 22 hours in shanghai (Pudong Airport). Since I will be traveling with my family, I would like to know how can I move out of the airport to spend a night at some nearby hotel. (Nightstay at airport with a small kid is not a good idea).

Hi, you can enjoy 24 hr direct transit, and you need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at the immigration office when you arrive at the airport, then you can leave there to spend a night at some nearby hotel. Nice trip!
