About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Singapore to Manila via Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (layover)

Hi! I'm traveling from Singapore to Manila via Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (layover for 6 hours). Do I need to present a visa for this? I do not plan on leaving the terminal. Thank you!

You are almost certainly flying with China Southern on a single (through) ticket, right? Regardless if I am right or wrong your itinerary is definitely eligible for 24 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. So, if you are flying on a single (through) ticket you do not have to perform any formality nor will you fill out any forms. Also, you will not be a subject of immigration or customs inspection. You will just walk from one to the other gate and between them you will just encounter a security check (metal detector and usual stuff). During your layover you will find something, maybe have a meal or whatever, in the transit zone before your flight to Manila. As you can see your transit in Guangzhou is really easy and straightforward. Have a nice journey.

Yes, we fly China Southern Airlines from SG and it's a single ticket (same booking number) to Manila. So, does this mean that we don't need to fill out arrival cards, or something similar to this? Just really wanted to be sure and I appreciate your patience on this matter.

Exactly, it means you do not have to perform any formality nor will you fill out any forms. Literally you do not have to do anything since you will stay within the transit zone of Guangzhou airport. No visas, no forms, no inspections (immigration and customs). The only detail that you will have to cross through is the security check (metal detector and the stuff) between your arrival and your departing plane. In reality you will not enter China formally at all. You can relax because you are fine and your transit will be a seamless one. Have a nice journey.
