Do I need to apply for a visitor visa?

I am planning on flying from the USA to Japan. I have a 22-hour layover in Beijing and would like to spend some of this layover going to the Great Wall and possibly other sight seeing during the layover.

Do I need a visa or will I be fine with the 72-hour visa?

Don’t worry, you can enjoy the 24 hour stay permit. But as I know, it’s a long distance to the Great Wall and the transport is confusing, so you are suggested to take a taxi or charter a car there. A single trip may cost CNY250 or around.

By the way, I was told TravelChinaGuide provides the pick-up and see-off services, you may get help from them through bookingtravelchinaguide.com
