About:Beijing Capital International Airport

I have approximately 5 hours for my connecting flight. Is it enough to go to the Forbidden City?

I'll arrive in Terminal 3 at 3:30 pm. I have 5 hours before my flight.
I'd love to see the Forbidden City even if for half an hour.
Do you think I can take the train and make it to the Forbidden City or the Tiananmen Square?

I‘m afraid you may be unable to visit the Forbidden City during the layover. By now, it only accepts online booking. So it is impossible to get a ticket on the spot.

But it is fine to wander around the Tiananmen Square. You can take Airport Express Train to Dongzhimen, then change to subway line 2 to Qianmen. Leave from exit C and walk northwards along Guangchang West Road (Guangchang Xicelu) for 5-10min to reach the square. For the return trip, you can use the same way.
